An entertainer named Tsukiko appeared for a certain night dinner. She was a splendid performer. Chandresh made her the member of the circus. Seven months later, they did the audition of the magician. Celia participated there, too.

A dinner was held in a house of Chandresh. Five visitors.  Madam Padva, former prima donna, Valais, the architect, Tara, Lainie, and the man of the gray suit. They made a plan to make a circus.

Children sat down to the tree of oak. They played a game. It was ordered that a boy called Bailey stole into "a night circus". He met a girl of the red hair in the tent of the circus. She knew the name of Bailey for some reason.

The training of Celia and Marco continued. Marco was considered to be the secretary of the man called Chandresh. He was the person who prepared for the stage of the game of Prospero and the man of the suit.

Prospero appointed a daughter to a new piece. The man of the suit chose one boy among an orphan home and had a piece. His name is Marco. Then they trained the magic to each piece for several years.

Marco became 19 years old. He meets a young woman called Isobel Martin in London. She was a fortune-teller.

One girl has been sent to magician Prospero. She was his daughter. Her name is Celia. She was able to use the magic in the same way as father.
One day the man of the gray suit came over to Prospero. His name is Alexander. They have been playing a game for a long time.

Hello, everyone. How was your summer vacation? In this semester, I will read the novel, "The Night Circus". I went to a bookstore to found the book, and I found this book. I didn't know this novel, but I like its binding. The cover is beautiful, so I chose the book.
It is story of magical circus, and main characters are two magicians. I look forward  to read the story.

Castle in the Air---week15

They started the plan. They asked genie to help. Princesses claimed "This man(Abdullah) disguised himself as a dog, and he trespassed." Abdullah said he wanted to help Flower-in-the-night. He asked Dalzel to back him and princesses safely if he found the place of Hasruel's life. While Abdullah was negotiating, genie found the place. Hasruel got his life.

Princesses was planning run away from Dalzel. They thought they can do it to find the place of Hasruel's life. Hasruel obeyed to Dalzel because he hid Hasruel's life.

Abdullah and Sophie heard the child's cry, and they went to there. There were Hasruel and Dalzel. The crying child was Valeria. And there were many princesses. Also Flower-in-the-night. They took care of Morgan, and the soldier disguised a princess.

Abdullah and Sophie asked the carpet to take them to soldier and Morgan. The carpet took them to djinn's castle. It was Howl's castle.

Castle in the Air---week10

Midnight was Sophie(the character of "Howl's moving castle"). Suliman returned Sophie to human. The djinn stole Howl's castle. Howl changed Sophie into a black cat to save her. Whippersnapper was a son of Howl and Sophie, Morgan. Suliman saved princess Valeria with his magic, but then, his magic was broken and Hasruel kidnaped Valeria. Abdullah, Sophie and Lettie went to inn to help soldier and Morgan, but the room was empty.

Castle in the Air---week9

Abdullah, soldier, and cats went to Kingabury, the capital of Ingary. They decided to meet Wizard Suliman to ask the way of going to djinn's castle. On the way to Suliman's mansion, Abdullah noticed that Midnight followed him. He arrived there, and Lettie, the Suliman's wife, appeared. She saw Midnight and called her "Sophie!"

The djinn, his name was Hasruel. He was good djinn, but his younger brother, Dalzel, was evil djinn. He stole Hasruel's life and hid it. He made Hasruel his slave. Then, he ordered Hasruel to stole every princess in the world. And he tried to stole the princess of Ingary, Valeria.

While travelling, Abdullah asked genie to got the magic carpet back. Then, the carpet appeared. Sleeping Kabul Aqba was on it. He woke up and changed into a djinn. He was the djinn who kidnaped Flower-in-the-night. He started confession.

Abdullah and Soldier slept in the open. Next morning, black cats mother and son appeared. Abdullah didn't like cats, but the soldier liked cats. He named them "Midnight" and "Whippersnapper".

Castle in the Air---week5

Soldiers put Abdullah in a deep and smelly dungeon. After that, the magic carpet came to help Abdullah. He went to desert. Then, he met Kabul Aqba, bandit. He had the bottle of genie. While Kabul was sleeping, Abdullah stole the bottle, and run away. (but Aqba had the magic carpet ) He asked genie, " Transport me to the nearest person who can help me find Flower-in-the-night." Abdullah arrived a inn, and met a soldier. They started journey.

That night, Abdullah went to the garden, and met Flower-in-the-Night. They tried to run away together, but suddenly a monster came from sky, and that monster caught Flower-in-the-night and fly away. The monster was a djinn. Abdullah ordered the carpet, "After it! Follow that djinn!" But the carpet couldn't fly.
Abdullah went back his booth and cried.

Next morning, soldiers came to his booth, and they took him to the Sultan. Flower-in-the-night was the daughter of the Sultan. He thought Abdullah has hidden her, and Abdullah was put in prison.

Abdullah gathered 189pictures, and went to the garden with the magic carpet. Flower-in-the-Night inspected all the pictures, and she said “I prefer you to every single one of these.” Her father was going to make her marry a prince of Ochinstan, but she came to love Abdullah. He also loved her. They decided to run away together. Next morning, Abdullah woke up in his booth. Then, Hakim came into there. He was Abdullah's father's first wife's brother's son. Abdullah hated him.

Hello, I will write about “Castle in The Air”.
   A young carpet merchant lived in the city of Zanzib. His name was Abdullah. He was not rich, but he was satisfied with his life. One day, a tall, dirty man came to his booth. He had a dingylooking carpet, and he said that he wanted to sell it. It was a real magic carpet! It flied. Abdullah bought it.
   At the night, he woke to find himself lying in a beautiful garden. He thought this was a dream. Then, a lovely girl came to him. She was a princess, and her name was Flower-in-the-Night. She had not seen men except her father, so Abdullah decided to bring pictures of as many men as he can. Morning came, he woke up in his booth, and he found it was not a dream! The magic carpet transported him to some rich man's garden while he slept.

Hello, everyone! I'm Yuko Iwatani, and I belong to AES B class. I live in Hyogo. I like reading books and listening to music. I'd like to read many English books this year. This semester, I'm going to read a book named "Castle in The Air”. It's written by Diana Wynne Jones. I read the book “Howl's Moving Castle”. “Castle in The Air” is a sequel of it. I like the story of Jones. This book is fantasy novel. I like fantasy novel. So I'm looking forward to read this book.

Howl's Moving Castle---week14

Sophie went to the witch to help Ms.Angorian.
However, the witch captured her. There is a body without a head.
Howl came to help Sophie, and killed the witch.
The witch of the waste was handled by demon.
The demon's identity was Ms.Angorian.
Ms.Angorian tried to rob the heart of Calcifer.
Calcifer's heart was Howl's heart.
If the heart return to Howl, Calcifer was dead.
However, if Sophie do that, It's ok because she had a magic power.
Calcifer became freedom, and he flew away.
Howl killed Angorian, and Sophie's curse was broke.
 Howl proposed to Sophie. Calcifer came back.
Everyone was happy.

Howl came back to the castle. He realized the dog was put a curse. Howl and Calcifer broke his curse. He said Sophie that the witch put a curse on you in mistake for Lettie, and Howl and Michael realized Sophie's curse.
Howl has tried to break her curse, but he couldn't.
Sophie noticed she loves Howl.

Sophie's flower shop was doing good business. One day, dog changed his figure to human, and spoke. He was a boy who named Gastone and he has been with the witch of the waste.
  Then Ms.Angorian came into the castle. She came here to found clues of her fiance. She started ransacking. Sophie got angry, and drived Ms.Angorian out.

After house moving, Sophie noticed that Calcifer has been a shooting star.
5years ago, Howl has contracted with Calcifer.
Howl felt sorry for Calcifer because he was afraid of death.
 Sophie started a flower shop.

Few hours later, the witch of the waste found Howl. They started fighting. It was terrible.
The fight was over, but they didn't fight it out.
Howl decided that move Calcifer.

Howl decided to move to hide from the witch. Michael found new house. It was Sophie's home. Her mother has sold their house and shop.
 Howl went to the funeral of Mrs.Pentstemmon.

Sophie got scared because she knew that the witch was searching Howl. One day, the door of castle was knocked violently. Sophie opened the door. A dog came in. He was Mrs.Fairfax's dog. He changed human and spoke for a while. He was put a curse, and he wasLettie's boyfriend.

Howl asked Sophie to go royal palace and say bad things about Howl pretend to be Howl's mother. To damage Howl's reputation.
 They met Mrs.Pentstemmon to rehearsal. She was Howl's  teacher. She said to Sophie, "I like your gift. It brings life to things."
 After that, Sophie met king. She said bad things about Howl, but it was counterproductive. On her way home, she met the witch of the waste. She killed Mrs.Pentstemmon.

The king asked Howl to hunt king's brother and
to suppress the witch of the waste.
 The paper of the spell was just the poem. This came from the other side of black door of the castle. Howl went to there to get back the spell.
It's changed with homework of Howl's nephew, and he gave his teacher the spell. Howl met her. Her name was Angorian and she was beautiful. She had fiance named Ben Sullivan, but he was missing.
 Howl heard the next part of poem by Ms. Angorian, and he noticed it was curse send by the witch.

Howl went to Mrs.Fairfax's house to met Lettie. Sophie worried her. Then she went to Mrs.Fairfax's house with Michael. They talked with Mrs.Fairfax without making it known him. She and Lettie noticed Howl's identity.
 After Sophie and Michael came home, Michael had difficulty solving mystery of spell by Howl.

One day, Howl's hair changed to strange color because Sophie tamperd with magic in the bathroom. He got angry, and he packed with green slime in the castle. After he became cool,he said he feel down because the girl he loves now doesn't give in.
 To her surprise, the girl was Lettie!
