I love this story. I've read the story many times, but I've never read it in English.
The main characters of this story are ″Sophie″ and ″Howl″.
This story is set in Ingary, in that country, magic really existed. And there was a tradition that ″What the eldest son and the eldest daughter do everything doesn't go well.″
Sophie is the eldest daughter! Her parents ran a hat shop. But when she was two, her mother died. Then her father married again. And the third daughter, Martha, was born.
When the year of Sophie was old enough to leave school, her father died suddenly. Mother decided that made the second daughter,Lettie, work at a bakery in town, made Martha live in Ms.Fairfax's house. She is their mother´s old school friend and she is a witch.
And mother said that made Sophie take over the hat shop.
